Initially implicit 1908 by the Danish Brotherhood, Washington Hall has been a gathering place, music scene (facilitating Billie Holiday, Jimi Hendrix, and Duke Ellington, among others), space for political coordinators, and general neighborhood home base from that point forward. In 2009 the structure was bought and spared from destruction by an association called Historic Seattle, which left on a continuous reclamation venture. It’s right now home to various network associations, a politically disapproved of coffeehouse and occasion spaces.
