This little social pearl has been displaying crafted by African American specialists for over four decades. While its pivoting show program is continually captivating, the gallery isn’t simply one more craftsmanship show focus. It is a significant purpose of the association for Harlem social figures everything being equal, who show up to look at presentations just as film screenings and exhibition talks. The historical center shut in January 2018 for broad redesigns and is required to resume in 2021.
The historical center’s brief programming space, Studio Museum 127, is situated at 429 W 127th St among Amsterdam and Convent Aves. Hours are Thursday through Sunday from early afternoon to 6 pm.
