This(Jaswant Thada) smooth white marble dedication to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, sitting over a little lake 1km upper east of Mehrangarh, is a variety of offbeat vaults. It’s a welcome, tranquil spot after the uproar of the city, and the perspectives across to the post and over the city are brilliant. Inherent 1899, the cenotaph has some delightful jalis (cut marble grid screens) and is hung with pictures of Rathore rulers returning to the thirteenth century.
