Intuit: The Center for Intuitive & Outsider Art

Overview

View this little historical center’s assortment of innocent and untouchable workmanship from Chicago craftsmen, including turning blended-media shows and watercolors by celebrated nearby Henry Darger. In a backroom, the exhibition hall has re-made Darger’s marvelously jumbled studio loft, total with chunks of twine, wavering heaps of old magazines, an antiquated typewriter, and a Victrola phonograph. The blessing shop conveys cool adornments, (for example, pencil-eraser accessories), sacks and wallets produced using reused material, and craftsmanship books.
