Difficult to beat on a bright spring day, this previous army base has been changed into a wild seaside park, bound with strolling trails and offering looks at the Olympic Mountains over the water. Revelation Park wasn’t introduced until 1973 and the American military just left the region in 2012. It’s the biggest green space in the city, with 534 sections of land of woods, glades, sandhills, and seashores, giving an inviting getaway to local people and an indispensable passageway for untamed life.
For a guide of the recreation center’s path and street framework, stop by the Discovery Park Environmental Learning Center close to the Government Way entrance. A mainstream trail prompts South Beach, where an old beacon adds to the landscape. The full Loop Trail is 2.8 miles. The recreation center is found 5 miles northwest of downtown Seattle in the area of Magnolia. To arrive, get transport 33 from third Ave and Union St downtown.
