In spite of the fact that City Island is in fact part of the Bronx, it shares more for all intents and purpose with the little fishing towns that spot the north Atlantic seaboard. The roughly 1.5-mile-long island is home to an assortment of charming homes, overflowing bars, probably the best fish in the five precincts, and, obviously, terrific perspectives on the Long Island Sound. This little cut of nautical paradise is for those intrigued by a really exceptional New York City experience.

City Island is effortlessly reached via vehicle, or by means of the Bx29 transport that gets up areas in the Bronx and goes right to the island.
