Russian-conceived craftsman Marc Chagall adored Chicago, and in 1974 he gave this amazing mosaic to the city. Utilizing a great many pieces of glass and stone, the craftsman depicted six scenes of the city in tones suggestive of the Mediterranean shore of France, where he kept his studio.
